Each year the Council on Alcoholism and Addictions of the Finger Lakes hold an annual Red Ribbon Week contest for students in grade 7 - 12. This year‘s theme was Tweet it! Talk it! Text it! This is a reminder that by staying drug-free you are sending a message about how much you value yourself, your family and friends, your community, and your future. Our students learned about this during health classes. This year Violette won a set of wireless earbuds. Congratulations Violette!

The Bradford Central School District and John Wayne would like to wish all of you Pilgrims a Happy Thanksgiving.

Have a safe Halloween!

More Halloween fun!

A great Halloween day at BCS!

The difference between remote and in-person student learning is HUGE. Let us all be diligent in our actions so our students can come to school each and every day.

The end of October is here and the much anticipated Halloween is at the end of this week. 🎃 This year, it is our intention to maintain the positive and fun spirit of this event.
Students are allowed to wear appropriate costumes on Friday, October 30. The costume should not interfere with learning and the ability to attend classes (be able to sit at a desk, etc... ). Students should plan to wear their costumes during the course of the day. Students will not have the opportunity to change into a costume at school. The costume must not obstruct with the student’s duties and responsibilities of learning. The dress code applies to all costumes.
While students are not required to wear costumes on Halloween, those students who do wish to participate are reminded of the following guidelines:
Face painting should be applied at home and should be minimally applied so that students’ faces are recognizable.
Costumes may not mock another student, faculty member, race, religious or lifestyle preference.
Costume accessories that are deemed dangerous or similar to weaponry are not permitted.
Full face masks or any item that will impede vision are not allowed.
Blow up costumes are not allowed.
Finally, all costumes should maintain the integrity of our school dress code.
Please understand that these guidelines are put in place to ensure the safety of all our students. If a student’s costume is found to be inappropriate, they will be asked to remove the costume. Wearing a costume is considered a school privilege.
Sadly, this year due to Covid restrictions we will not be having a school wide parade. Our yearbook staff will be taking pictures and posting them to our website and social media pages for all to enjoy.

Please see the most recent COVID-19 update from the Bradford Central School District.
