Provided there is enough interest, the Bradford CSD will be taking a spectator bus to the girls' sectional semi-final basketball game in Canandaigua on Wednesday evening. The bus is available to students/adults and there is no charge for this service. There will be a district chaperone in attendance. Students under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. You can sign-up for this trip by calling or visiting the school. Please sign-up by the end of the school day on Tuesday. More specific departure information will be shared when available. Go BraveScots!

Congratulations to the BCS Architectural Awareness team on the outstanding job they did redesigning the former Dana Lyon Middle School in Bath, NY. This facility was aptly named Medieval Amusement and consisted of a bowling alley, trampoline park, skating rink and food court.

On Saturday, January 28, 2023, twenty-nine alumni from the Class of 1998 up through the Class of 2022 came back to BCS to play a friendly game of basketball, cheered on by alumni cheerleaders. The Class of 2024, sponsors of the event, collected food for the Bradford Food Pantry. The community turned out a big way, donating hundreds of items for the Food Pantry, and cheering on the players and cheerleaders. The Class of 2024 would like to thank all of those who participated in the game as either a player or a cheerleader, Heidi Durham and Chris Durham for volunteering to operate the scoreboard and shot clock, Larry and Don Dykes for refereeing, and of course the community members who donated food and came out to cheer on the alumni as they relived past glory, and discovered that they really are not as young as they used to be.

Dear BCS Community, , We would like to take this opportunity and welcome Mr. Christopher Wood to the Bradford Central School District. Mr. Wood has been hired as our interim principal for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year. This mid-year hire was needed as a result of the resignation of our former principal, Mr. Dunham. Mr. Wood has an extensive and varied background in public education. He most recently served as the superintendent of the Odessa-Montour Central School District, but prior to this he was a high school principal, Dean of Students and Social Studies teacher. This varied and vast experience will enable him to be a significant asset to our students, staff and district as a whole. Mr. Wood is excited to get back to serving as a principal, as he spoke extensively about wanting to work closer with children and to be able to help them succeed at Bradford Central and beyond. Go Braves!
